The building should meet the health requirements. There must not be leaking roofs, cracked walls and earthen floor which would certainly become breeding place for insects.
Quality of Home
There must be sufficient space for all the people. This is of at most importance as there must be free flow of air inside the home providing good health to everybody in the home.
Proper ventilation is a must to keep the place dry and clean from smoke and dusts, which may lead to allergies. Children and old people are the ones worst affected.

Animals like dog, cats, chicken, pigs and goats should not share the living space with the people.

SAFE DISPOSAL OF WASTE:
Excreta and waste materials should be disposed properly. These are the main source for various diseases.
Refuse and waste water must be disposed properly, if not disposed properly they will become breeding ground for various disease vectors.
Water used for drinking, washing, cooking, bathing and cleaning must be clean and safer. Contamination of water may lead to disease vectors. Most of the diseases are caused due to unsafe water.
