Relax: Practice relaxation techniques such as meditation and yoga, It helps to relieve stress and could also ease your IBS symptoms. Everyday during morning and evening take some basil leaves and chew it for some time. Doing this brings down stress and it also improves digestion and strengthens the immune system.
Note Down: Note down the foods you take daily and track the foods that ease the symptoms and that which makes worse. Keep an eye on foods like dietary fiber, chocolate, milk products, caffeine, and alcohol.
Drink water: Keep your body hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Water can relieve constipation and it also needed to keep you hydrated during diarrhea. Sometimes you may experience burning sensation or uneasiness in your stomach after eating certain oily foods or so. Taking a glass of hot water after eating makes the food to get digested easily and you won’t feel that uneasiness.
Physical Activity: By exercising regularly you can curb IBS symptoms. If you have been exercising then increase the time. Exercise can be yoga, pilates, jogging, etc. After having a meal don’t sit immediately. Just walk for some 5 or 10 minutes and then get back to your seat.
